FRAUD ALERT FROM LAPTOPA LTD
Laptopa Ltd. would like to reveal a scam that has been going on since the second quarter of 2007. An individual, presenting himself as Richard Bugat has been using our company identity with details obtained from Companies House website to commit online fraud deals.
HOW DOES THE FRAUD WORK?
The fraudsters post adverts on free non-UK based classifieds websites using the name of Laptopa ltd., offering on sale laptops, mobile phones and various IT equipment at non-realistic prices. THE BUYERS NEVER RECEIVES THE GOODS THEY’VE PAID FOR AND THE FRAUDSTERS ARE NEVER THERE TO ANSWER THE PHONE! The company information listed in the adverts is very close to the real details of our company /example: they list our registered company address, with fake name showing as director of the company and a similar
Our company has been watched very closely… the only thing the criminals didn’t know was that Laptopa ltd keeps an eye on every move they make and is passing the information to London Metropolitan Police.
